The Maintenance Mechanic (U) constructs, maintains, and tests mechanical equipment, machinery, and components to maintain the physical assets of the institution in good working order.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Greases, lubricates, and replaces filters in air and hydraulic systems.
2. Performs inspections and repairs of equipment, and completes scheduled maintenance.
3. Diagnoses problems and makes adjustments or reports situation to proper managing staff.
4. Prepares and maintains records and reports.
5. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders.
6. Orders necessary parts and equipment from vendors and suppliers.
7. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required

Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
