Requirements
  • A master's degree in a field appropriate to the needs of the department, significant progress toward a doctorate degree, post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a baccalaureate degree plus experience may establish appropriate qualifications for the teaching position.
  • Specific certification or licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.
  • Applicants must submit a cover letter addressing the required qualifications, a curriculum vitae or resume, and contact information for three to five references.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance.
  • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
  • Serves as an initial point of contact for students regarding specific course or series content and expectations.
  • Prepares for and holds classes, maintains currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment, evaluates students' work, assesses student outcomes, provides regular and substantive feedback on student work, maintains appropriate records, and holds office hours.
  • Advises students and/or provides other service to the department as assigned.
  • Performs other duties assigned by the department chair or dean.
