Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Must have an active Top Secret U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Must have 12 or more years of experience as a Facility Security Officer, Security Manager, or equivalent position in a government or government contractor environment.
  • Must have 5 or more years of experience managing people, preferably in a security role.
  • Experience supporting team building and conflict resolution is required.
  • Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual requirements for a possessing facility and Intelligence Community Directive standards is required.
  • Experience with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency and other government customers is required.
  • Seasoned knowledge of multiple functional areas and Department of Defense security programs is required.
  • Ability to interact effectively and proactively with staff, leadership, industry partners, and customer agencies is required.
  • Ability to develop or interpret company and government security policies and apply them to site-wide operations is required.
  • Ability to provide leadership and work with a diverse team and upper management to ensure compliance with security directives is required.
  • Ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and climb ladders is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a diverse security team while supporting its optimal performance and growth.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, personnel access, and physical security standards.
  • Collaborate with information technology and information assurance teams to implement cybersecurity measures and monitor for cyber threats and incidents.
  • Drive security compliance with risk management methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
