Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in a public affairs or marketing & communications role
  • 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Extensive experience aligning local and national political landscapes
  • Demonstrable track record of creating new marketing and communications strategies from scratch - including segmentation and proposition development
  • Experience working in a heavily regulated industry

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage LE UK's approach to market engagement and stakeholder management, including political influencing, community engagement, and key account marketing
  • Collaborate with the UK CEO and other senior management to develop and continuously refine value propositions
  • Ensure the Last Energy team is actively engaging with the appropriate decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Develop influencing strategies with clear objectives and personally engage with stakeholders to develop external advocacy for LE UK
  • Engage with regulators and policymakers to shape a regulatory regime and approach to the development and licensing of new nuclear generation in the UK
  • Direct the UK CEO and other senior LE UK stakeholders to assist with public affairs engagements
  • Establish and manage relationships with key industry associations
  • Develop and execute the marketing and communications strategy for LE UK, leveraging marketing function from the US team and local agency support
  • Plan and manage strategic marketing activities in the UK, integrating our engagement with politicians, industrial customers, and communities
