Requirements
  • Good hand-eye coordination is required.
  • Ability to use pneumatic power tools, such as staple guns, to assemble frame parts is required.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment is required.
  • The job must be performed with safety as the top priority.
  • Ability to bend and lift frame parts throughout the shift is required.
  • Ability to stand for the entire 8–10 hour shift is required.
  • Ability to arrive on time every day and take direction from supervisors in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively on a daily basis is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble wooden frames for sofas, loveseats, and chairs using pneumatic staple guns.
  • Position precut frame parts and glue, staple, or screw them together to fabricate furniture frames using a pneumatic staple gun and glue applicator.
  • Trim and smooth frame edges, and nail, screw, bolt, or glue precut frame parts together while attaching legs, arms, and back pieces.
  • Nail, screw, or bolt plywood or other materials to the frame.
  • Cut wood parts according to specifications using power tools when required.
  • Attach hardware to wooden furniture frames when required.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous furniture frame-building experience is highly preferred.
