Requirements
  • Must be able to start immediately, or currently not working; flexible hours.
  • Personal transportation is mandatory due to non-traditional work hours.
  • A personal cell phone is required and is reimbursable at a maximum of $10 per week.
  • Applicants will need to go through an onboarding process to get vendor credentialed (shots, background check, drug test).
  • Dress code is scrubs (not provided) or khakis and a polo shirt; comfortable shoes (tennis shoes acceptable).
  • The position pays $18.42 per hour and has no healthcare benefits.
Responsibilities
  • Find and adapt every BP cuff and device (automatic or manual) in a hospital or clinic; switch out or convert cuffs.
  • Interact with hospital personnel (registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, materials coordinators) and patients.
  • Be quick, thorough, professional, and pleasant when working in off-site physician clinics where space is limited and presence is a disruption to patient care.
  • Walk into patient rooms, locate all blood pressure cuffs and devices, convert them, and exit within about 30 seconds; anticipate where cuffs or devices may be hidden.
  • Follow hospital policies for isolation or contact-precaution rooms, including PPE such as gown, gloves, and possibly mask; perform proper handwashing.
  • You may need to teach proper use of blood pressure cuffs via in-service presentations on sizing and technique.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with medical equipment found in hospitals and doctor’s offices (basic experience).
  • Willingness to travel for overnight assignments; per diem and mileage reimbursement details provided.
