Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling or related field
  • Experience working with patients with mental illness and/or substance use disorders
  • Maintain licensure(s), credentials, and continuing education; practice within the parameters of the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board and the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board
  • Training in at least one evidence-based psychotherapy modality will be required
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation for patients with mental health complaints referred to OSU Harding Hospital Partial/IOPs.
  • Provide counseling/psychotherapy/psychoeducation to group and individuals with mental and behavioral disorders to facilitate return to previous or improved functioning. Services provided include group psychotherapy, individual psychotherapy, and/or couple/family therapy.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans to assist patients to determine and meet treatment goals.
  • Advocate within local community if needed; work as part of clinical team; maintain third-party payer relationships; and complete all necessary paperwork (e.g., disability, FMLA).
