Requirements
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Design, or a related field.
  • Related experience is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D is required.
  • Technical communication skills and attention to detail are required.
  • A good safety record and understanding of safe work practices are required.
  • Sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
Responsibilities
  • Review CAD drawings and designs for compliance with established standards, including layering, dimensioning, and naming conventions.
  • Prepare detailed civil design drawings for grading, site development, and utilities using alignments, profiles, cross sections, and details in Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Prepare construction documents from self-directed designs and engineering markups according to relevant specifications and drafting principles.
  • Prepare mine support and permitting exhibits for underground, surface, preparation plant, and refuse sites using AutoCAD Map 3D and Carlson Software.
  • Process aerial drone and field survey data to generate mapping for engineering design.
  • Process laser scans and produce building information modeling models using Revit.
  • Perform volume and quantity calculations for earthwork and horizontal infrastructure projects, including force mains, storm and sanitary sewers, and water pipelines.
  • Coordinate with Civil, Mining, Environmental, Survey, and Construction design teams to produce technical drawings supporting Apex departments.
  • Operate on multidisciplinary projects by coordinating project setup, chartering documents, and designer team schedules.
  • Work with CAD team members, Project Managers, and Project Engineers to understand scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop personal career growth.
