Requirements
  • Previous security, law enforcement, military, hospitality security, or related experience is required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented during stressful or emergency situations.
  • Strong observation, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to prepare accurate reports and documentation.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are required.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must meet all applicable Louisiana licensing or certification requirements for security personnel, if required for the position.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support Security Officers during assigned shifts to ensure effective daily security operations.
  • Conduct regular patrols of guest areas, public spaces, back-of-house areas, parking facilities, and the hotel perimeter.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, disturbances, accidents, medical incidents, and security concerns.
  • Assist with investigations involving safety incidents, guest concerns, policy violations, or suspicious activity.
  • Prepare and review incident reports, daily activity logs, and required documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor surveillance systems, fire/life safety systems, access control systems, and alarm systems as assigned.
  • Assist with coordinating emergency response procedures and evacuation protocols.
  • Support hotel leadership during emergency situations and operational incidents.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and training support to Security Officers and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, departmental procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Promote positive guest and employee interactions while maintaining a professional security presence.
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and departmental communication as assigned.
  • Support VIP arrivals, special events, and high-profile guest activities as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive situations and information.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training programs, and safety drills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Luxury hotel or hospitality experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with security systems.
  • Additional education or certifications.
