Local Union 94 Operating Engineer
Pay $51.46 hourly
Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift with on-call 24/7 for emergency responses
Some of your day will include:
- Maintain, monitor, and repair building systems (fire/life safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, emergency backup, hot water)
- Manage facility services, preventive maintenance, purchasing, inventory, and contracted maintenance
- Review client service requests to address recurring issues
- Oversee contractor activities and provide necessary training
- Evaluate vendors and suppliers for quality
- Comply with emergency escalation procedures
- Implement Critical Work Authorization Process (CWAP)
- Adhere to the Critical Awareness Process, technical bulletins, and engineering guidelines
- Develop MOPs, EOPs, and SOPs for specific applications
- Maintain engineering logs, data sheets, and building rounds records
- Verify delivery accuracy
- Manage hazardous materials safely
- Conduct tool and instrument inventory checks
- Perform additional duties as required
Who are we looking for:
Required
- A high school diploma or GED and two years of trade school in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
- 5+ years of commercial engineering experience
- Local Union 94 membership (or within 30 days of employment).
- Q-01 or Q-99 Refrigeration Engineer
- S-95 Supervision of Fire Alarms
- S-12 City-Wide Sprinkler
- S-13 City-Wide Standpipe
- F60 Torch operations
- G60 Flammable gas torches
Preferred
- Financial Institution experience
- Experience in a data center/critical facility including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgear.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
- B-29 or B-28 Supervision of Battery Systems
Estimated total compensation for this position:
51.00 – 51.46 USD per year
The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
