Requirements
  • Active TS//SCI with CI poly
  • 3+ years of experience in a FinOps, cloud financial management, or similar role.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and metrics.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Expertise in Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of cloud economics and pricing models.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with IT product teams to identify elements of total cost and measures of utilization.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on costs and utilization across products, cloud providers, and classification levels
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track expenditures and utilization.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Analyze variances between actual spend and budgeted amounts, providing insights and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Identify opportunities for automation in FinOps to improve efficiency.
  • Work with engineering teams to automate cost management and reporting.
  • Continuously explore new tools and technologies that can enhance FinOps capabilities.
