- Candidates must be qualified chefs.
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes according to established recipes and culinary standards.
- Collaborate with the head chef or kitchen manager to ensure the timely execution of menu items while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation while adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Adapt to different kitchen environments, menus, and dietary restrictions while maintaining high standards.
- Manage time and prioritize tasks to meet service deadlines and minimize disruption to kitchen operations.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and provide assistance and guidance when required.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of ingredients.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of food preparation and presentation so dishes meet established standards of taste, texture, and appearance.
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels, reporting shortages, and assisting with ordering.
- Share culinary knowledge and skills with team members and provide guidance and support to promote continuous improvement.
