Requirements
  • Two years of related industry experience is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in a business or engineering discipline is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
  • The position requires the ability to travel 10–25% depending on company needs.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background and drug test.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure products comply with customer specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Excellerate standards.
  • Ensure production-process work instructions comply with specifications and standards.
  • Approve changes and deviations from established guidance, including Engineering Change Orders.
  • Lead and coordinate external customer audits and visits and serve as the quality point of contact for external customer visits.
  • Assist the team with requests for quotations and other quality-related information as needed.
  • Support and manage in-process audits to ensure compliance and assess gaps in the manufacturing process.
  • Lead product-related corrective action discussions and closure.
  • Serve as a primary customer contact for quality-related meetings, issues, specification inquiries, and audits.
  • Lead responses and actions associated with customer quality concerns, including complaints and inquiries in the customer's system.
  • Engage team members and subject matter experts to address process concerns related to customer quality.
  • Lead and manage customer quality metrics.
  • Lead the deviation process and ensure required communication to the customer.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action development in response to customer requests.
  • Provide feedback and documentation to the customer as required.
  • Create and maintain quality guidance required for manufacturing readiness, including product quality plans.
  • Lead identification and maintenance of customer and industry-standard failure modes for inclusion in the failure mode and effects analysis.
  • Support development, execution, and maintenance of the control plan to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Excellerate standards.
  • Ensure customer specifications are included in training as required.
  • Support initial investigation and disposition decisions for non-conforming material.
  • Analyze non-conforming-material data trends through quality management system software to promote manufacturing quality process improvements.
  • Lead analysis of customer quality metric data and identify opportunities to reduce customer defects.
  • Collaborate with site engineers to implement quality improvements.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action development for repeat or systemic issues and ensure implementation.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
