Job Description

Cash App is a mobile-first bank that ranks in the top 10 free apps in the app store with a rapidly growing user base and feature set. Our mission is to provide banking services to all, in particular those that are underserved. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and improving Cash App Bitcoin platform features and infrastructure, including deposits, withdrawals, and custody of Bitcoin. We are scaling quickly and are excited to grow the team!

You will:

Lead the design, creation, and scaling of Bitcoin platform services.
Learn about the mechanics and regulations of bitcoin and other digital assets.
Work with a functional team, project teams, external teams of various disciplines and autonomously.
Communicate clearly and effectively.
Own features and functions throughout their life cycle, from inception, rollout, launch scale, and iteration.
Prioritize quality code and testing.
Participate in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

You have:

8+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
A strong motivation to contribute to a meaningful product that will fundamentally change the way people interact with financial institution
Experience working with Bitcoin/Lightning or the desire to learn.
Experience working across teams and disciplines.
A pragmatic approach with a focus on delivery.
Ability to excel in macro and micro elements of software design.
Willingness to contribute to the growth of those around you.
Demonstrated technical initiative and leadership on previous projects.
