Requirements
  • 10–12+ years in financial services, with strong preference for custody / asset servicing, digital assets / fintech / capital markets infrastructure
  • Proven track record in client onboarding / implementation leadership
  • Experience operating in highly regulated environments (KYC, AML, onboarding governance)
  • Demonstrated success in fixing broken or inefficient onboarding processes
  • Reducing cycle times and improving client satisfaction
  • Experience working across multiple geographies (US + Europe preferred)
Responsibilities
  • Act as the single accountable owner for onboarding and implementation across all active clients
  • Drive execution across: Client engagement & onboarding planning
  • Contractual/commercial readiness alignment
  • KYC / due diligence coordination
  • Account setup and custody configuration
  • Technical integration (APIs, wallets, entitlements)
  • Proactively manage interdependencies across internal teams (Operations, Compliance, Technology, Legal, Risk)
  • Serve as the primary point of orchestration for clients during onboarding
  • Establish clear onboarding plans, timelines, and milestones
  • Improve a currently fragmented, reactive experience into a structured, transparent journey
  • Implement: standard onboarding playbooks
  • Client communication cadence and reporting
  • Executive-level status visibility
  • Diagnose and eliminate bottlenecks across onboarding lifecycle
  • Introduce tracking, SLAs, and performance management across internal contributors
  • Reduce reliance on escalation and “chasing” via structured workflows
  • Defined ownership and accountability
  • Optimize for time-to-live and time-to-revenue
  • Design and implement a scalable onboarding operating model
  • Standardized processes, templates, governance
  • Clear handoffs between Sales, Product, Compliance, and Operations
  • Introduce end-to-end tracking (pipeline → onboarding → go-live)
  • Build management reporting: cycle time metrics, drop-off / delay drivers, capacity planning
  • Initially operate as an individual contributor leader (player-coach)
  • Over time hire and develop a small team (2–3 FTE)
  • Define role segmentation (e.g., implementation managers vs. onboarding coordinators)
  • Establish a culture of ownership and accountability, client-centric delivery, structured execution
  • Cross-Regional Coordination (US & Europe): manage onboarding across multiple jurisdictions
  • Navigate differing regulatory requirements (MiCA, local KYC standards)
  • Ensure regional alignment while maintaining global process consistency
