Requirements
  • A university degree in any field is required.
  • At least one year of experience in a similar role in a four- to five-star hotel is required.
  • Knowledge of hotel facilities and products is required.
  • Awareness of fire and first-aid procedures is required.
  • The employee must attend scheduled training classes.
  • The employee must maintain proper grooming and a friendly, cheerful disposition.
Responsibilities
  • Handle guest luggage efficiently on arrival, during the stay, at departure, and in the luggage store while ensuring its safety and security.
  • Ensure every piece of luggage has a baggage claim tag.
  • Park guest and visitor vehicles in the designated hotel parking area.
  • Resolve guest complaints and requests and coordinate with the relevant department for immediate follow-up.
  • Issue guest room key cards and maintain effective controls for guest security.
  • Report unusual occurrences or requests to the Concierge desk.
  • Maintain the Concierge Desk area efficiently, cleanly, safely, and hygienically.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation according to operational and organizational requirements.
  • Provide lobby paging services under Concierge supervision.
  • Practice suggestive selling and familiarize guests with hotel facilities.
  • Coordinate with Front Office to protect payment of guest folios, including scanty-baggage procedures and the release of guest bags at departure.
  • Escort guests to their rooms and explain hotel and room facilities, including lights, television, safe, air conditioning, and fire exits.
  • Ensure luggage is placed for guests to unpack.
  • Greet guests on arrival and departure and direct or escort them appropriately.
  • Review the logbook, verify outstanding matters, follow up on pending items, and identify daily special assignments.
  • Check hotel occupancy, functions, groups, and VIPs.
  • File daily Concierge Desk reports and documents systematically under Concierge supervision.
  • Provide courteous service and respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Communicate shift information to the next shift to support smooth operations.
  • Maintain continuous contact with hotel guests and handle problems or complaints efficiently and courteously.
  • Deliver messages, newspapers, parcels, and packages promptly according to hotel policy.
  • Arrange guest transportation requests, including limousine service, shuttle bus, and car rental, in coordination with the hotel's rental-car agent.
  • Handle telephone calls at the Concierge desk.
  • Review and update the logbook.
  • Check equipment.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations.
  • Report regularly on activities to the Assistant Front Office Manager or Front Office Manager.
  • Handle guest complaints and report them to the manager.
  • Remain aware of the daily Talk of the Walk.
  • Maintain product knowledge of hotel facilities.
  • Cooperate respectfully with the team and other departments.
