  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Two years (4,000 hours) of paid work experience related to the programs being taught, including one year (2,000 hours) of related paid work experience acquired within the past five years, or two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five years in lieu of the recent experience.
  • Experience with at least half of the following job duties: mold and/or metal stamping die design, production planning, drafting layout, electronics, pneumatics and mechanical equipment, design research, technical writing, design checking, inspecting, detailing, product research, math computations, cost estimates for design, material handling design, computer-aided design experience, and jigs and fixtures.
  • Ability to maintain or obtain Higher Learning Commission, Faculty Quality Assurance System, and other agency requirements and licensure required to maintain individual and program accreditation, if applicable.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and promote and maintain an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
  • Flexible scheduling may be required, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to teach and/or travel to the West Bend campus.
  • A valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare for and facilitate learning in assigned courses according to the College's core values.
  • Establish a professional and safe learning environment and model appropriate workplace skills and behavior.
  • Perform classroom management and monitor and enforce the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Meet student learning needs by incorporating varied teaching methods and assessments.
  • Maintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
  • Submit grades within the expected time frame.
  • Provide timely verbal and written feedback to students to support their growth and development.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum as needed.
  • Assist with student recruitment and promote College programs and services.
  • Promote retention and student success through referrals to College services and resources.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with K-12, Department of Corrections, community, and industry partners beyond the classroom.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices.
  • Complete annual professional development activities in Faculty Quality Assurance Standards competencies and complete required training.
  • Maintain classroom and laboratory equipment and supplies to support the assigned program area and future industry trends.
