A Day in the Life

The Medtronic Corporate Development group has primary responsibility for Medtronic Corporate Development projects including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, minority investments, technology licenses and divestitures. This role is fast paced, dynamic and provides unique access to Medtronic leadership.
A Day in the Life
The Corporate Development Intern participates in the Medtronic Corporate Development activity by performing market analysis, financial analysis, deal structuring and negotiation, due diligence coordination, and preparation for presentations. The Intern is responsible for executing project requirements, financial modeling and preparing and presenting proposals and recommendations to management. In addition, the Intern may interact with senior leadership on special projects. The Intern is required to work in close partnership with project teams that generally include personnel from all levels of leadership and in various corporate and/or business unit functional departments including business development, marketing, research, finance, tax, law, human resources , purchasing and procurement, information technology, quality assurance, and regulatory. The Intern generally is required to participate in 4 to 6 active projects at any one time, often times under tight timelines.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
-- Provides quantitative and qualitative analysis, industry research, reporting and internal communication services with team members.
- Investigates and communicates potential opportunities for process improvement as well as potential project initiatives.
- Responsible for working with teams operating within a service group, or product group and/ or project group.
- Assists with the development, monitoring, coordination and implementation of projects.
- Works with different departments including sales, marketing and business development to develop knowledge of industry and organizational processes.
Internship Overview:
Full-time (temporary) salaried positions that are 11-12 weeks long (Monday, June 2rd - Friday, August 15th, 2025)
Hybrid in Minneapolis, MN.
Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance are provided for interns who are required to relocate for the summer.
We provide educational programming, social events, networking, and leadership exposure throughout the summer.
You will be paired with a Peer Mentor who is a Medtronic employee to help guide you through your internship.

Must Have:
To be considered for a summer 2025 MBA Corporate Development internship, you must meet the following basic requirements.
Currently enrolled in a fulltime MBA program (class of Spring 2026)
Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience
