THE ROLE:The Junior Production Plannerwill be responsible for planning and scheduling the manufacturing processes. We offer a full benefits package to include Flexible Time Off (FTO)forsalaried positions, health, dental, vision, investment savings plan, and additional miscellaneous benefits.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Schedules production configured customer orders, and/or Kanban requirements in MRP system to satisfy the production plan and customer demand.
- Provide demand plan to shipping, work closely with logistics to ensure on time shipments.
- Participate in meetings and provide information regarding on time delivery (OTD) / on time to promise (OTP) metrics, schedule attainment, and delinquencies.
- Provide a recovery plan to mitigate back order and delinquency.
- Manage back log and ensure demand is fulfilled on time.
- Coordinates with the production supervisor regarding schedule so they may assign appropriate manpower to the various jobs within the employee’s classification.
- Manages and analyze data per Master Scheduler to update schedules for canceled orders, changed order dates, changed order specifications, and expedite requests.
- Monitors and releases customer orders in the MRP scheduling software (daily buckets) based on communicated material availability from the various planner-buyers.
- Works with the factory manager to develop staffing levels and OT plans to support the production plan.
- Communicates potential part shortages to the factory manager and planner-buyers through various communication channels including the on-time database.
- Maintenance of daily MRP data consisting of material requests, material moves, pick requests, etc.
- Participates in various Lean activities including Kaizen Events and 5-S teams.
- Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
- Other duties as assigned by the planning and scheduling supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
- 2 years minimum experience in project execution (engineering, planning, business etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Basic math skills, strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills required.
- Intermediate level user of Microsoft Office products - Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate influence leadership competencies through influence that build teams and morale while promoting a continuous improvement culture.
- Experience with an MRP systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Black Belt certification, experience with CI practices such as QDIP
- Knowledge of Epicor Iscala
DAY IN THE LIFE:
In this role, the physical demands may include but not limited to walking and/or standing 8+ hours and light lifting of 20-25 pounds.
SALARY:
The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000 plus bonus.Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
