Bravas is a traditional Spanish bar and sauce brand known for its distinctive Las Bravas hot sauce. It makes an artisanal, all-natural salsa with no additives that pairs especially well with hot dishes like patatas. The product originated in a tavern that started selling the sauce in 1954, officially registering the Las Bravas name in 1960, and today it is associated with three historic locations in Madrid where the sauce is enjoyed. How it works: the salsa is a ready-to-use, spicy condiment crafted from natural ingredients, meant to accompany hot dishes to enhance flavor. What sets Bravas apart: it has a long, documented history dating back to the 1950s and 1960s, its artisanal, natural recipe, and its identity tied to three era-rich venues, differentiating it from generic sauces. Goal: preserve the authentic Las Bravas experience across its historically significant locations and continue offering the unique, enduring flavor that started in the Callejón del Gato.
