Requirements
- Experience working as a Sybase Database Developer on ASE and or MS SQL.
- Must have ETL Informatica PowerCenter development experience or other ETL tools such as DataStage, Ab Initio, etc.
- Experience creating Database objects (Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc).
- Experience with Sybase Transact-SQL programming and proficient in Stored Procedures, Cursors, Triggers, Transactions, Batch programming.
- Experience with performance tuning of stored procedures/triggers.
- Very good understanding of Query plans.
- Should be able to fine tune queries.
- Solid experience with Sybase/SQL Server Client utilities such as isql, bcp, etc.
- Unix Shell scripting and experience scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, etc.
- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling techniques.
- In-depth understanding and prior work experience in finance industry is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders.
- Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources.
- Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
Desired Qualifications
- Database design concepts for OLTP as well as Data Warehouses applications.
- Experience with business intelligence tools is a plus
