Responsibilities
  • Answer all incoming phone calls for the healthcare provider.
  • Provide a professional, supportive, and nurturing experience for patients and visitors by telephone or in person.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Document messages in the electronic medical record system.
  • Identify and quickly assess the nature of calls and act appropriately to provide prompt, professional service.
  • Verify insurance and resolve eligibility issues before scheduled appointments.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and account balances.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for medical services and procedures as needed.
  • Work in a team environment and provide customer service to patients.
Desired Qualifications
  • Medical office experience is preferred.
  • Electronic medical record skills are preferred; experience with NextGen is a plus.
