Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • Experience: At least eight (8) years of professional experience in Finance/Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis within the capital markets industry is desired, candidates with strong experience outside of the industry will be considered.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. In addition, the ability to understand and predict the impact decisions have on workflows as well as reporting.
  • Financial Modeling: Proficient in building and maintaining financial models, conducting scenario analysis, and utilizing forecasting techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to leadership within Finance as well as non-financial stakeholders.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling software is required; familiarity with NetSuite and Adaptive is desirable.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and reliable financial analyses.
Responsibilities
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyze trends, forecast performance, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, providing insights into financial variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial and operational performance, identifying key drivers and areas for improvement.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, economic indicators, and market conditions to provide context for financial analyses and forecasts.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analyses as requested by management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and operations, to gather relevant data and insights.
