Requirements
  • BS degree in Finance or Accounting; or related experience
  • 4+ years of financial/accounting work experience preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance and disclosure reporting
  • Understanding of investments such as fixed income, derivatives, alternatives, mortgage loans, equities, etc.
  • Familiarity with GAAP/STAT/IFRS financial documents and accounting policies for investments
  • Effective communication skills to deal directly with clients and across all levels of staff and management
  • Ability to prioritize assignments without losing sight of overall objectives and deadlines and time management skills
  • Strong decision-making skills to make well thought out decisions based on information provided
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft office products
  • Travel to clients as needed
  • Proficiency in French strongly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Management of Client Relationships from accounting perspective
  • Build relationships and be an excellent partner through regular communication with key personnel at each client to effectively lead client expectations
  • Meet with senior partners to discuss overall relationship, new initiatives, accounting questions and concerns, client relationship targets, etc.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with the service offering and acquire feedback
  • Prepare for and host regular client meetings/relationship reviews; ensure each meeting is detailed and follow-up items addressed
  • Develop action plans to address and advance feedback provided by the client
  • Develop strong understanding of assigned clients – including portfolio structure, objectives, and accounting requirements
  • Assist clients in various ad-hoc analyses and provide input relating to the treatment and impact of accounting pronouncements and reporting requirements
  • Provide clear concise feedback to client requests
  • Serve as a liaison between the client and the various BlackRock teams assigned to support the client to ensure excellent client service and client satisfaction
  • Distribute accounting updates, service model improvements, and industry thought leadership topics to clients

In the past week, the SP 500 (^GSPC) either increased or fell by 1% every day — generally the latter — as uncertainties around the path of economic growth, particularly President Trump's proposed tariffs, have weighed on investors. The SP 500 and Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) just had their worst weeks in six months. The SP 500 is now 6% off its most recent all-time high, while the Nasdaq Composite is now in a correction, off more than 10% from its most recent high.
