- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program, or completion of a Nurse Practitioner program with emergency medicine certification.
- Nurse Practitioner applicants must have a Family Nurse Practitioner certification with an emergency medicine graduate certificate and/or compelling emergency medicine experience, or a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification with compelling emergency department experience.
- Applicants with only Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification are not accepted because the role requires encounters with patients of all ages; holding both certifications is acceptable.
- Current licensure and/or registration with the State of Michigan.
- Drug Enforcement Administration licensure and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Fremont and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
- Assess patients’ health and needs to fulfill them as effectively as possible.
- Acquire and review patient histories.
- Monitor patients’ progress and maintain records of treatment, procedures, and other medical events.
