  • An active Michigan Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing is required.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in the field within COTA scope and under occupational therapist supervision are required.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills are required.
  • A current driver’s license and comfort with daily travel across the assigned territory are required.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant visits in patients’ homes under the supervising occupational therapist’s plan of care.
  • Execute functional treatment plans involving activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, safety and fall prevention, energy conservation, upper-extremity function, and adaptive equipment training.
  • Track objective functional progress and communicate updates and concerns to the supervising occupational therapist.
  • Coordinate with nursing and the broader care team, escalating changes in condition and safety concerns.
  • Document promptly and thoroughly in a defensible, efficient, and consistent manner.
