Cyber Network Engineer, Senior

That’s why we need you, a seasoned Cyber Network Engineer who knows how to develop the exact network DoD needs.
As a Cyber Network Engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience in network design and architecture, system interoperability, OSI model, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing and forwarding to support the nation’s defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You’ll develop enterprise-wide infrastructure design, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current working infrastructures and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You’ll apply your expertise in routing and switching, network design and architecture, system interoperability, IP engineering, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing, and forwarding as you guide our team of problem-solvers to help the DoD evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies. Your knowledge of enterprise level network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will come in handy as you optimize client operations and modernization. Using your experience in software and hardware firewalls, Cisco hardware, Palo Alto firewalls, Juniper hardware, optical infrastructure networking, and virtual routing and forwarding you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you’ll make an impact on national security missions.

You Have:
4+ years of experience with network engineering and the design of IT systems or networks for large commercial enterprises or government agencies
2+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud-native and third-party networking appliances in AWS and Azure
Experience with leading teams of technical staff in the design, build, and integration of IT solutions
Experience in firewall design, network security, including Device Hardening, IDS IPS, SIEM, Firewalls, and IPSec, vulnerability assessment, and intrusion detection
Experience with network firewalls and network firewall concepts, such as Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load balancers, Juniper SRX, or Cisco Firewalls
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with routing protocols and topologies, including BGP, MPLS, or VRF and VPN technologies, such as IPsec, GRE, DMVPN, or DTLS
Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure in multi-region and multi-cloud environments
Knowledge of DoD IT and Cloud security policies, including STIGs and DoD Cloud SRG, and applying them to the design and implementation of cloud solutions
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking, prior publications, and speaking engagements in relevant industry or vendor forums
Bachelor’s degree
AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Advanced Level Certification
AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or Microsoft Azure Architect Design Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
