Anno.Ai develops AI and machine learning software for defense and national security. Its platform Anno Fusion correlates data from multiple sensor sources to establish a clear ground truth and enables rapid, self-service creation of high-quality training data by domain experts. The company primarily works under federal contracts and SBIR programs, delivering R&D and prototype deployments in intelligence analysis, media data processing, and flight training optimization, and it also serves as a subcontractor. A key differentiator is its focus on cross-sensor data fusion and hands-on testing infrastructure like the Lake Superior Test Range for autonomous maritime vehicles to accelerate readiness of autonomous defense technology.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Anno.Ai won a $1.233 million DoD SBIR Phase II on August 28, 2025.
  • Minnesota media on February 10, 2026 confirmed expansion into aerial and maritime testing ranges.
  • April 27, 2026 SkillBridge hiring shows active staffing for mission-focused autonomous systems work.

What critics are saying

  • Revenue concentration is brutal: 2026 public contract data shows 100% Department of Defense.
  • The company still lacks broad commercial traction, leaving it exposed to Pentagon procurement swings.
  • Drone autonomy partnerships invite faster primes and better-funded rivals to displace Anno.Ai by 2027.

What makes Anno.Ai unique

  • Anno.Ai pairs AI software with owned defense test ranges, not just dashboards.
  • Its Lake Superior and Camp Grafton efforts anchor real-world autonomy validation.
  • Deep DoD SBIR work in acoustic sensing and drone readiness narrows to mission buyers.
