Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman?  If so. We want you to join our diverse team as an Aircraft Mechanic 2 for a rotational OCONUS program based out of Edwards, CA.

Your duties include:

Responsible for performing minor structural repairs and modifications. Troubleshoot, repair and service aircraft and engine systems. Conduct diagnosis of malfunctions. Perform maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. Fabricate, install and test installation, routing, clamping and wiring harnesses. Read wiring diagrams and blueprints. You may receive additional training and be cross utilized into aircraft low observable maintenance to fulfill the daily activities and duties required to meet contract requirements. Low Observable tasks include repair of composite or metallic structures, and sanding, stripping, testing, masking and other preparation tasks.

Assigned work locations are Palmdale and Edwards AFB, Ca.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Willing/able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year. 
• Have and maintain a valid U.S. passport
• Be able to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location.
• Be able to comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and immunizations that may include anthrax and smallpox.
• Meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.
• Able to perform work assignments at Palmdale, CA and Edwards AFB, CA.
• A current DoD Secret clearance with ability to maintain that clearance.
• The ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A current DoD Top Secret Clearance

Operational experience.

Salary Range: $54,400.00 - $90,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
