  • A bachelor's degree.
  • One year of related experience working in higher education, including exposure to admissions and financial aid, or case management in a related field.
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day case management, advisement, and counseling to students and parents about financial aid programs.
  • Provide holistic counseling and case management covering affordability, education costs, financial awareness, campus resources, and payment options.
  • Support students and families in navigating financial aid application processes.
  • Coordinate application follow-up for new students, including FAFSA completion, application document completion, and verification completion.
  • Meet with students and parents by appointment, on a walk-in basis, by telephone, and through other communication platforms.
  • Conduct outreach through phone calls, emails, text messaging campaigns, and events to assist current and prospective students with bills, financial aid renewal, and refunds.
  • Conduct events and outreach and retention programming to engage students and support timely financial aid renewal.
  • Coordinate with CARE team leaders and CARE leadership to ensure outreach and programming are uniform, cohesive, integrated, personalized, and aligned with institutional objectives.
  • Partner with academic advisors to suggest academic strategies that help students meet satisfactory academic progress requirements for retaining financial aid.
  • Work with leadership and colleagues to identify needs for outreach programs, projects, activities, and in-person or virtual services.
  • Identify and advocate for best practices that enhance student experiences.
  • Conduct Financial Aid 101 workshops, financial literacy trainings, high school financial aid nights, and other events throughout the year.
  • Facilitate a non-credit financial literacy course for students in synchronous and asynchronous formats.
  • Collaborate with campus partners, including the Center for Student Success and Career Services, to extend support for students and families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Thorough knowledge of third-party software, including NSLDS, COD, CPS, and Awards Management/Blackbaud.
