Requirements
  • Regular attendance is mandatory.
  • The General Superintendent must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentations.
  • The General Superintendent must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to develop branch and job processes and best practices.
  • The General Superintendent must have a high skill level interpreting blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
  • The General Superintendent must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
  • The General Superintendent must be able to learn and teach the Company and customer project management systems.
  • The General Superintendent must be able to work at heights, off a ladder, and in confined spaces; lift up to 50 pounds; move up to 75 pounds; and regularly stand and walk very large job sites.
  • The General Superintendent must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
  • The General Superintendent must have a minimum of three years of experience as a Lead Communications Technician or in a similar position.
  • The General Superintendent must have a minimum of five years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field.
  • The General Superintendent must be proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • The candidate must meet Company minimum driving standards.
  • The General Superintendent must have demonstrated, verifiable ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, create an estimate, develop detailed associated tasks, and manage these through final completion and customer turnover.
  • The General Superintendent must be able to use trade tools including a punch tool with 110-block and 66-block blades, a 6/8-position combination crimp tool, Krone/3M/BIX tools, a butt set, a volt-ohmmeter, a four-pair continuity tester, and a five-gang punch tool.
Responsibilities
  • The General Superintendent serves as the overall manager on a large and/or complex project.
  • The General Superintendent ensures that contracted work is developed, implemented, installed, and managed according to Company safety, quality, management, and financial-performance requirements.
  • The General Superintendent recruits, hires, trains, manages, supervises, promotes, disciplines, and, if necessary, discharges project-related staff.
  • The General Superintendent manages human-resource issues according to Company policies and procedures and completes recommendations for employee performance ratings, promotions, and pay changes.
  • The General Superintendent provides guidance and mentoring to meet customer and Company goals and objectives.
  • The General Superintendent acts as the senior Company liaison for operational interaction with customer representatives.
  • The General Superintendent plans, manages, monitors, and maintains project profitability.
  • The General Superintendent ensures that customer-required deadlines are met.
  • The General Superintendent manages workload distribution and staffing levels and monitors customer delivery and job-installation progress.
  • The General Superintendent manages successful job completion, productivity, and compliance with the project budget.
  • The General Superintendent reviews job-cost postings and prepares invoices, customer collections, and periodic financial reports for customers and management.
  • The General Superintendent completes project paperwork, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, and tool transfers, and ensures Job Closing Packages meet standards.
  • The General Superintendent performs quality checks, manages outage prevention, conducts daily job walks, and prepares red-lined as-built drawings.
  • The General Superintendent serves as the primary on-site customer contact and attends facility and construction meetings as required.
  • The General Superintendent troubleshoots and resolves technical issues.
  • The General Superintendent reviews and monitors operational processes including estimating, purchasing, invoicing, warehousing, scheduling, and reporting.
  • The General Superintendent develops, redesigns, and implements process improvements.
  • The General Superintendent monitors operational quality and safety issues with the Training Department and actively promotes safety.
  • The General Superintendent leads assigned operations meetings and training sessions.
  • The General Superintendent manages tool and truck inventory and maintenance.
  • The General Superintendent completes other assigned responsibilities.

IES Holdings subsidiary acquires Broadwind Texas facility for $19.5M

IES Holdings subsidiary IES Infrastructure has agreed to acquire Broadwind Heavy Fabrications' production facility in Abilene, Texas, for up to $19.5 million. The deal includes real property, equipment, machinery and related assets, with consideration comprising cash and non-cash value tied to a below-market lease arrangement. Approximately 140 employees involved in wind tower manufacturing are expected to transfer to IES Infrastructure after the lease term ends. The transaction was announced on 5 May 2026, following a definitive agreement signed on 30 April. IES Holdings reported second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $4.16, up from $3.30 year-on-year, with revenue rising to $974.2 million from $834 million. The company maintains a backlog of approximately $3.9 billion, driven by strong demand in data centres and communications infrastructure.

IES Holdings reported fiscal second-quarter 2026 results on 1 May, with revenue reaching $974 million, up 17% year-over-year. Operating income rose 21% to $112.3 million, whilst net income attributable to IES climbed 56% to $109.9 million, yielding diluted earnings per share of $5.44. IES director sells $3.8M in shares following 157% stock surge

IES Holdings director Todd Cleveland sold 7,500 shares of common stock valued at approximately $3.8 million across two transactions between 24 February and 4 March 2026, according to SEC filings. The sales represented about 8.9% of his direct holdings at the start of the period. The sale occurred following a 157% one-year total return in IESC stock and continues a multi-year pattern of position reduction. Cleveland's remaining direct holdings now stand at roughly half their April 2023 level, valued at approximately $34.1 million based on the 20 March closing price of $436.95. The 7,500-share sale was smaller than Cleveland's roughly 10,000-share median for previous open-market sales since April 2023.
