Requirements
- An Associate's Degree is required.
- A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse is required.

- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification or American Red Cross Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and lead assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age- and developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards.
- Provide patient- and family-centered care focused on physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
- Assess patients, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and implement interventions, coordinate care, provide health teaching and promotion, and evaluate goals and interventions consistent with MUSC policies.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment by ensuring patient privacy and demonstrating responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior.
- Participate in a professional practice model, including shared governance, adherence to standards of care, peer review, and professional development.
- Promote leadership and clinical excellence through effective team skills, autonomous practice, accountability for actions, and critical thinking.
- Coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services through care management principles.
- Identify clinical priorities and initiate actions to improve patient outcomes.
- Promote a healthy work environment and accept personal responsibility for professional growth.
