Position Overview
Reporting to the Global Intelligence Lead, The VP of Experimentation will be a pivotal role within the Platforms & Intelligence team responsible for evangelizing a philosophy of systematic experimentation across IPG Mediabrands. This role will be responsible for developing and leading a global strategy to bring experimentation to life at scale, driving innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness in marketing campaigns across the organization.
This individual will spearhead the expansion of both proprietary and partner technologies to foster systematic testing across media, experience, creative, and technology for clients. By leveraging a diverse array of experimental techniques, such as A/B testing, multivariate testing (MVT), Geolift, Brandlift, incrementality studies, and automated experimentation, this role aims to embed a data-driven culture of continuous optimization and learning. Realizing this vision requires a collaborative effort, the VP of Experimentation will leverage the footprint of expertise of the wider Intelligence team while collaborating closely with agency analytics teams. Together, they will unlock new levels of marketing effectiveness and efficiency to ensure IPG Mediabrands remains at the forefront of the advertising industry’s technological evolution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the global experimentation strategy to ensure its integration into all aspects of marketing campaigns and digital initiatives.
- Work closely with the Global Intelligence head to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement across the board.
- Foster a culture of testing and learning to encourage teams to embrace experimentation in their strategies.
- Design and implement robust testing frameworks and processes to support scalable and data-driven decision-making that are underpinned and enhanced by proprietary technology.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to leverage the latest in technology and methodology for experimentation.
- Develop the intelligence practice into a team of experimentation specialists to promote continuous learning and professional growth.
- Measure and report on the impact of experimentation initiatives to continuously seek ways to improve outcomes and efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven track record in leading experimentation or conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives at a global scale.
- Deep understanding of statistical methods, A/B testing, multivariate testing, and the latest trends in experimentation, technology, and methodology.
- Strong grasp of the statistical concepts that underpin experimentation such as pre- and post-test analysis, and geotesting/incrementality packages.
- Comfortable facilitating client workshops and discovery sessions as well as influencing / persuading stakeholders about the merits of systematic experimentation.
- Advanced experience managing existing business relationships, partnerships, and alliances internally and externally.
- Comfortable and skilled in providing strategic and operational intelligence when guiding clients through framework, design, and deployment.
- Kinesso does not require candidates to have a college degree.

- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Substantial years of experience within experimentation.
- Experience within a media environment is advantageous.

The salary range for this position is posted below.
