Requirements
  • A high school diploma and five years of relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services, or a bachelor's degree and three years of experience in those fields.
  • Ability to perform the listed physical job functions, including working in upright, seated, walking, indoor, and occasional outdoor or confined-space conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, lower, push, and pull objects weighing up to 15 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to maintain the specified vision, hearing, tactile, peripheral-vision, depth-perception, color-discrimination, and fine- and gross-motor capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the human resources of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, including hiring, termination, employee relations, onboarding training, exit interviews, personnel actions, job postings, hiring processes, salary increases, and accurate OurDay updates.
  • Maintain timekeeping functions in OurDay for MUSC and MUSCP classified and unclassified employees; train staff and faculty on new protocols; run leave reports; and ensure leave and timecards are properly recorded, submitted, and approved.
  • Manage annual faculty hiring and offer letters and coordinate faculty appointments, documentation, licensing, credentialing, provider profiles, Epic access and training, office space, equipment, furniture, and support staff.
  • Serve as the employee-relations contact and advisor regarding University and MUSCP policies and procedures; counsel managers and employees; disseminate information; maintain compliance; revise policies; coordinate annual training and employee-recognition programs; and monitor employee satisfaction and engagement surveys.
  • Manage faculty appointments, promotions, and the tenure process and ensure required documents are completed and submitted to the Dean's office.
  • Coordinate interviews for prospective faculty candidates, including itineraries, travel arrangements, reservations, introductions, and chaperoning.
  • Track and assist with provider license renewals, including DHEC, medical, and Drug Enforcement Administration licenses, and maintain credentialing at off-site locations.
  • Manage annual faculty contracts and renewals, including entry into FACTS, email verification, electronic contract distribution, and deadline tracking.
