Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance preferred or business field
  • 5-7 years of financial analysis experience within nonprofits, is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Very strong interpersonal skills, strong ability to build relationships as well as strong ability to work with all levels of internal staff and outside contacts
  • Experience working with a general ledger accounting system required
  • NetSuite and Adaptive insights prior experience or similar systems, highly preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner
  • Ability to work independently are essential characteristics of this position
  • Resolve billing and customer credit issues
  • Strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including building models, and data mining
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office environment and financial applications; Power BI, Salesforce and other accounting software
  • High level proficiency in Excel is required

Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial projections and budgets, including the development of grant budgets
  • Oversees and ensures that spending plans are developed, and execution is in accordance with grant requirements and organizational priorities
  • Support and assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast process
  • Provide analysis and financial support that align with company/department objectives
  • Conduct monthly budget vs. actual analysis
  • Responsible for post-award grants and contracts administration, including the reviewing and monitoring of individual grants and transactions for compliance with private, local, state and federal fund requirements
  • Reconcile grants revenue and expenditures
  • Advises grant program personnel on budget and revisions when necessary
  • Calculates and records transfer of indirect costs
  • Prepares quarterly cash reports
  • Prepares financial reports
  • Uploads new budgets and budget modifications
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assists Federal Budget Manager with financial analysis on specified federal budgets
