Apave launches new sustainability services platform. France-based international risk management group Apave announced the launch of Apave Impact, a new sustainability-focused subsidiary, supported by the acquisition of Dutch decarbonization consulting firm De Duurzame Adviseurs (DDA). According to Apave, the new platform will consolidate the firm's sustainability expertise, providing services aimed at supporting the responsible transition of companies and organizations across France, Europe, and internationally. The new unit launches with more than 100 sustainability and ESG experts, and will provide services ranging from the measurement of emissions and conducting environmental assessments to managing decarbonization pathways, ensuring compliance with regulations such as CSRD, and structuring sustainability reporting systems. The launch of the new sustainability-focused unit follows the acquisition last year by Apave of French carbon accounting firm Aktio. Philippe Maillard, CEO of Apave, said: "In the face of the climate emergency and evolving expectations regarding transparency, businesses need partners capable of transforming sustainability challenges into genuine performance drivers. The launch of Apave Impact consolidates this offering." Founded in 2011, Netherlands-based DDA provides services aimed at guiding organizations in their transition to sustainable, social, and well-governed business operations, including carbon footprint assessments, decarbonization roadmap development, ESG strategic consulting, and CSRD reporting and compliance. DDA Directors Merel van der Velde and Lars Dijkstra said: "Joining forces with Apave Impact gives us the scale, expertise and international platform to accelerate practical sustainability. Together, we see strong opportunities to combine our CO[2] and ESG expertise with Apave's broad capabilities, supporting organisations in the Netherlands and beyond in turning sustainability ambitions into real impact."
Trainor strengthens its position in maritime and offshore industries as Apave acquires OComp. Apave Group's acquisition of OComp marks an important step toward building a leading Northern European competence environment within safety and technical training. For Trainor, this development creates an even stronger combined offering for industries operating under high regulatory demands and complex conditions. OComp has quickly established itself as a key provider of training within maritime, offshore and aquaculture in Norway, known for strong subject-matter expertise, operational agility and wide geographical presence. Combined with Trainor's deep competence in electrical safety and digital learning, this creates a robust and comprehensive training ecosystem - from critical offshore safety courses to advanced e-learning and technical upskilling across the industrial landscape. "Apave's acquisition of OComp strengthens the entire Group's capabilities in Norway. For Trainor, it means we can deliver even more integrated and future-ready learning solutions together with OComp to companies operating in challenging environments. We look forward to combining OComp's operational excellence and maritime specialisation with our technology, learning platforms and safety expertise," says Stian Martinsen, Trainor CEO and Director of Apave Nordics Region. With OComp's strong position in Bergen - one of the world's most important hubs for maritime and offshore operations - and Trainor's established footprint in electrical safety and digital training, Apave takes a strategic step forward in the region. Together, we enable a more complete, scalable and integrated portfolio of training services for the energy sector, maritime industries and the rapidly expanding blue economy.
