- Seven or more years of Java/J2EE development experience.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing and deploying large-scale Java/J2EE projects from end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience in iterative and agile software development life cycle.
- Extensive knowledge and application of Java best practices and J2EE design patterns, along with experience with application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, etc.) and Oracle database servers.
- Experience implementing design patterns and ability to adapt to changing patterns quickly.
- Hands-on experience with n-tier J2EE technologies such as Java EE 5, JavaScript, Hibernate, Spring, and UML documentation.
- Experience in various performance analysis and tuning techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Act as the highest level technical contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and application initiatives.
- Utilize a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
- Work on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.
- Plan, perform, and act as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing.
- Lead the most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
- Act as an expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.
- Analyze highly complex business requirements.
- Generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
- Assure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met for the supported area.
- Hands-on development experience is critical to this role and will constitute a majority of the responsibility.
- Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment and adapt to change quickly.
- Must be a lead and develop application design guidance and consultation in the CORE team within the Consumer Lending Technology Group.
- Identify and leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a multi-tier origination J2EE solution.
- Collaborate with Oracle Database Administrator when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
- Remain responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex software components.
- Production Support experience.
- Demonstrated analytical and reverse engineering experience.
- Prior work experience in the financial industry.
- Hibernate, Eclipse Modeling Framework or other ORM tool experience.
- Prior work experience with OSCache, JCache or other caching APIs.
- SQL performance tuning.
