  • Must be able to pass a background check and MVR check
  • Experience in Microsoft software including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Cross-cultural experience required
  • Four-year degree from accredited University
  • Willing and able to work various hours during the day and available during weekends as needed
Responsibilities
  • Welcome newly arriving refugee families and individuals
  • Provide community orientation and assistance in addressing basic needs
  • Assist with health screening and other health-related appointments
  • Help clients create initial budgets and provide financial information
  • Ensure client enrolls in ESL classes and engages in integration programs
  • Maintain detailed client records and case notes
  • Encourage self-sufficiency and early employment
  • Assist with enrollment in low-income housing
  • Inspect refugee housing and report issues to landlords
  • Perform home visits and evaluations during resettlement period
  • Identify and address barriers to successful resettlement
  • Act as a cultural broker between volunteers, service providers, and refugees
  • Maintain regular communication with clients
  • Transport clients to appointments
  • Work with volunteers to complete resettlement tasks
