The Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and talented technologist to join a newly created team, Data Integrity & Governance (DIG). The DIG program has been established to deliver business-driven data and analytics governance, which will enable Schonfeld to achieve business outcomes more efficiently.
What you’ll do
The Software Engineer will work closely with the Director of DIG Technology, Head of Business Analytics as well as other internal and external stakeholders on the creation of a data and analytics governance program and associated technology platform. You will help launch a third-party vendor metadata management system (data catalog), participating in vendor selection, evaluating the third-party system, and working to close any feature gaps, as well as establish an ongoing maintenance and enhancement program. You will work closely with the Senior Data Analyst to design a process to promote consistency within the catalog and related business glossaries which includes onboarding and integration protocols. The Software Engineer will also participate in expanding platform capabilities based on business requirements as well as providing Level 3 support. The ideal candidate has a mindset of creatively applying the best modern technologies to help solve business problems and has a strong affinity for data.

- Expertise with OO development (Python, C#, C++, Java)
- Experience with production development and support
- Experience with data centric applications
- Experience with data governance concepts
- Experience with data modeling
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong ownership mindset and a track record of delivering results

- Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS/Google Cloud/Azure)
