What believers are saying

  • Diatech acquisition on October 7, 2025 deepened DEKA’s diabetes delivery stack.
  • Emergex collaboration keeps DEKA’s intradermal applicator active across 2026 biotech pipelines.
  • Revelio counted 872 employees in March 2026, and hiring stayed active.

What critics are saying

  • Sequel Med Tech drives twiist commercialization; any 2026 launch miss starves DEKA royalties.
  • Dean Kamen’s February 2026 Epstein scrutiny pressures recruiting, partnerships, and nonprofit ties.
  • DEKA’s revenue depends on a narrow medical-device portfolio; one regulatory failure hurts everything.

What makes DEKA Research & Development Corp. unique

  • Dean Kamen’s 1982 engineering bench produced LUKE, iBOT, and twiist.
  • DEKA owns core infusion and microneedle IP, not just outsourced design.
  • FDA cleared twiist in 2025, proving repeatable regulated-device execution.
