Requirements
  • Passion for manufacturing, automation and continuous improvement
  • Sharp analytical and mechanical mindset with a desire to apply them toward real-world manufacturing problems
  • Experience with production best practices such as LEAN, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving electromechanical issues on a production assembly and test line
  • Ability to independently lead cross-functional projects to completion
  • 2-5 years related product-based electromechanical experience
  • Experience with supplier quality
  • Willingness to travel 30-40% both domestically and internationally
Responsibilities
  • Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
  • Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements
  • Identify and help facilitate continuous improvement, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues
  • Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes
  • Leads in performing FMEAs for processes and products under development and/or qualification
  • Help streamline processes to improve processes at the Contract Manufacturers, 3rd party manufacturer
  • Able to build out dashboards and hold data review across different organizations to help improve processes, influence product design and help drive cost down efforts
  • Will play a key role in ISO-9001 readiness across the company and capability to work autonomously with good judgment
  • Design and implement robust tooling/fixture solutions to improve process control and production throughput
  • Provide mediation between CMs, critical sub-tier suppliers, and Markforged internal teams to address competing priorities and resolve issues to achieve Markforged production requirements
  • Serve as a manufacturing lead on one or more major Markforged product families, and drive sustaining engineering activities, coordinate engineering change cut-ins, manage build state record system
  • Developing and implementing quality standards and control systems
