The Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, NOI Budgeting will join our FP&A leadership team and will be instrumental in shaping the company’s financial strategy, driving performance optimization, and providing critical insights to guide high-level decision-making across our firm. The ideal candidate will possess extensive leadership experience, deep financial expertise, and a strategic vision to propel our company’s growth and profitability in a dynamic real estate market. In addition, the candidate will be a highly-motivated, strategic problem solver with comprehensive planning and organizational skills, who will be undaunted by ambiguity and uncertainty.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core Responsibilities
Leads a high-performing team of finance professionals, including two managers and five associates with several additional indirect reports, in the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting of property- and portfolio-level net operating income
Partners with four regional Senior Managing Directors and their 20+ person staff to ensure they have the information needed to run the company’s operations and that they participate appropriately in the budgeting/reforecasting process
Collaborates and communicates regularly with extremely wide range of audiences, from Link senior/executive management to Blackstone executives and analysts
Leadership and Company Strategy
Develops and executes long-term strategies to align the department and company with the company’s vision and objectives
Fosters a culture of analytical excellence, innovation, and strategic thinking within the FP&A function
Acts as a strategic partner to the CFO and the Executive Asset Management/Leasing team providing critical financial insights and recommendations
Manages and prioritizes multiple long-term projects while managing resources accordingly and communicating with stakeholders, project team, and the business
Analyzes existing processes, tools and deliverables for effectiveness and long-term strategy
Financial Planning and Performance Management
Oversees and innovates the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes related to budgeting of property- and portfolio-level net operating income
Develops sophisticated financial models and analytics for complex real estate portfolio optimization and oversees risk management strategies related to financial operations
Directs scenario planning, sensitivity analyses, and stress testing to inform risk management and strategic decisions
Designs and implements advanced performance metrics and KPIs across the organization
Partners with Capital Markets to oversee the production of high-level financial reports and presentations for the executive team and Blackstone , including assisting with monthly and quarterly Board materials
Collaborates with Asset Management and Investment teams to optimize portfolio performance and returns
Leads in-depth analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, and economic indicators to guide investment strategies
Drives cross-functional collaboration with Asset Management, Property Operations, Construction, Development, Accounting, and more
Technology and Innovation
Spearheads the adoption of cutting-edge financial technologies and analytics platforms including Salesforce, PowerBI, Argus, and Anaplan as well as proprietary Link software
Drives digital transformation initiatives within the finance function to enhance efficiency and decision-making capabilities
Stays at the forefront of emerging trends in real estate finance and technology
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS required.
Minimum 10 years of demonstrated Finance/Accounting/Data/Analytical experience
Real estate background required
Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across department and present/communicate with diverse range of senior audiences
Ability to work with cross-functional teams across many levels of management
Ability to meet tight deadlines demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Cognos, Tableau or similar plus
Expert-level Excel skills with a proficiency in PowerPoint
$184,000 - $210,000 represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
