Requirements
  • Must be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Must hold a current CPR certification from American Heart Association (AHA), BLS for Healthcare Providers
  • Must have a Rhode Island state radiation license and CT supplemental license from the Rhode Island Department of Health
  • Two years of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology requires, plus registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current, valid license from the Rhode Island Department of Health to practice in the state of Rhode Island
  • In-depth knowledge of all the technical aspects of diagnostic radiologic procedures
  • Basic understanding of the operation of computer consoles
  • In-depth knowledge of the operation of the computerized tomographic equipment in order to analyze equipment problems and arrange for its repair
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interface effectively with patients, patient’s families, departmental staff, physicians, and others
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process
  • For CT Scan Technologist II position: Two letters of recommendation obtained within the previous three months from technical, supervisory or medical staff members in CT Scan attesting to the technologist’s level of professionalism and technical competency; Also two criteria from among the following, selected by the technologist as the means by which he/she will complete the qualification process for the Technologist II position.
Responsibilities
  • Check calibration of the equipment and test to ensure proper operation
  • Energize gantry, image processor, and x-ray power supply in proper sequences
  • Position patient and equipment
  • Select width and thickness of tomography slice, scan speed, and number of scans and table incrementation (Proper protocol selection)
  • Using computer commands in proper sequence to perform scans
  • Collect and complete computerized and manual records on patient data such as patient history number, image number and type of examination; assign and verify appropriate charge code
  • Screen patient for diet preparation, drug and food sensitivity, and pregnancy by questioning patients and reviewing medical referrals and records to avoid adverse reactions to treatment
  • Prepare supplies for injection of contrast medium and operate pressure injector
  • Monitor patients and equipment during scan process for changes in condition
  • Perform specialized non-routine computer functions as required to assist in diagnosis, including but not limited to: 2D, 3D, MIP, and VRE
  • Analyze equipment problems and malfunctions and make minor equipment repairs and adjustments; obtain telephone direction of service engineer to make adjustments; arrange maintenance of service personnel as required
  • Maintain records such as calibration results for quality control, service reports, installation reports, incident reports, utilization statistics, and equipment performance standards
  • Provide in-service education for students and staff technologists and maintain appropriate records
  • May perform the function of a staff Radiologic Technologist as required
  • Maintain CT Scan department workflow and staff efficiently for maximum throughput
  • Remain proficient in special procedures including biopsy, drainage, ablations

(“TriSalus” or the “company”), an oncology company in the process of going public through a business combination transaction (the “Business Combination”) with MedTech Acquisition Corporation (Nasdaq: MTAC) (“MedTech” or “MTAC”), today announced that it has expanded the reach of its ongoing Pressure-Enabled Regional Immuno-Oncology™ (“PERIO™-01” and “PERIO™-02”) clinical program.In recent months TriSalus has opened five new PERIO™-01 (NCT04935229) clinical trial sites, at Stanford University Hospitals, University of California Los Angeles, University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus, University of Washington Medical Center and University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, in addition to five previously activated sites.
