- Proficiency in recent versions of the Microsoft Windows server operating systems.
- Exposure to Linux operating systems including Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
- Proficiency in network and Storage Area Network administration in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience in network switch configuration including Cisco and Brocade.
- Excellent English writing skills and good verbal communication skills.
- Superb troubleshooting and diagnostic skills including ability to solve problems.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, VBScript, Python or Bash.
- Experience with network capture tools including Wireshark or Finisar.
- Responsible for quality assessment of network storage software drivers of converged network adapters (CNAs).
- Configure LAN and SAN network switches, configure storage targets and configure host bus adapters within enterprise servers.
- Run scripted and manual test cases, troubleshooting and documenting defects, and interacting with software developers to improve quality of the product.
- MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, A+ certification.
- Experience in network switch configuration including Dell, Juniper and Extreme.
- Experience with the following companies or their products: EMC, Dell, NetApp, Brocade, Emulex, QLogic, IBM, HP storage.
- Experience with network testing tools, including iperf, NetPerf, Chariot.
- Experience with disk IO tools, including IOmeter, XDD, IOzone.
