Requirements
  • Proficiency in recent versions of the Microsoft Windows server operating systems.
  • Exposure to Linux operating systems including Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
  • Proficiency in network and Storage Area Network administration in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience in network switch configuration including Cisco and Brocade.
  • Excellent English writing skills and good verbal communication skills.
  • Superb troubleshooting and diagnostic skills including ability to solve problems.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, VBScript, Python or Bash.
  • Experience with network capture tools including Wireshark or Finisar.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for quality assessment of network storage software drivers of converged network adapters (CNAs).
  • Configure LAN and SAN network switches, configure storage targets and configure host bus adapters within enterprise servers.
  • Run scripted and manual test cases, troubleshooting and documenting defects, and interacting with software developers to improve quality of the product.
Desired Qualifications
  • MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, A+ certification.
  • Experience in network switch configuration including Dell, Juniper and Extreme.
  • Experience with the following companies or their products: EMC, Dell, NetApp, Brocade, Emulex, QLogic, IBM, HP storage.
  • Experience with network testing tools, including iperf, NetPerf, Chariot.
  • Experience with disk IO tools, including IOmeter, XDD, IOzone.
