Requirements
  • Proven track record and success in an Operations Management role
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service, at times will need to be involved given team size
  • Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes
  • Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications
  • Deep knowledge of Linux, configuration management, storage technologies, networks and datacenter
  • Clear organization, planning, scheduling of tasks with inward and out communication
  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, business administration, or related field
  • Strong IT skills, including some database development and/or excel reporting
  • Multiple years of experience in financial services
Responsibilities
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting a small and nimble team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment
  • Including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution
  • Oversee Virtual, Physical Server and Storage needs on a BAU basis for internal and external users
  • Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets
  • Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, portfolio managers and vendors to ensure proper operations of the company's IT server and storage platforms
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company's internal capacity
  • Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget
  • Track staffing requirements, prioritizing work as needed
  • Providing level 2 systems support in a 24/7 environment
  • Helping with the automation of system administration tasks
  • Documenting processes and procedures for support staff
  • Participating in a weekly on-call rotation for after-hours support
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems
  • Oversee materials and inventory in our asset management tool (SNOW)
  • Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management
  • 2nd line support Handle Escalations from wider support teams
  • Proactively looking for potential issues - Start Of Day reporting
  • Service Continuity - Follow the Sun / Handovers
  • Gatekeepers for Production - Product Change Management Approver
  • Act On Perf Metrics from systems using KPI's
  • Highlight and manage EOL assets for SSA
  • Work closely with Cyber on Patching our production estate
  • Capacity plan both technology and people
  • Work with the department management on key KPI's to track and report progress on
