Requirements
  • You hold an engineering degree or equivalent Bac+5 qualification.
  • You have strong knowledge and skills in thermal engineering, energy regulations, and HVAC, plumbing, and building management systems.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience, preferably in project-piloting assignments involving existing built assets, as a consultant, owner's representative, project manager, scheduling coordinator, or construction management professional.
  • You are autonomous in matters and assignments related to your specialty in thermal engineering, HVAC, plumbing, and building management systems.
  • You have proficiency with office and industry software, including Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Revit, and VE.
  • You hold a Category B driving licence.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate a building's technical quality by conducting a technical audit of HVAC, smoke extraction, plumbing, and thermal systems.
  • Diagnose design and control malfunctions in HVAC systems.
  • Develop possible scenarios and identify associated work for the rehabilitation, renovation, or transformation of buildings through technical feasibility studies.
  • Write or support the writing of technical programs.
  • Provide technical expertise on owner's representative assignments by helping the client define requirements, translating them into a technical program, and proposing technical solutions.
  • Act as the project designer and works supervisor for medium-scale tertiary and public-access building renovation and rehabilitation projects, including budgeting and schedule preparation.
  • Define the assignment process in coordination with the client.
  • Lead mono-technical renovation projects involving HVAC, plumbing, and building management systems, as well as tertiary-sector regulations, from preliminary design through construction in collaboration with project stakeholders.
  • Plan and monitor all project phases, including preliminary studies, schematic design, detailed design, tender documents, procurement, construction supervision, inspection, and handover.
  • Ensure project delivery, client satisfaction, and compliance with the owner's quality, performance, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Ensure the contractual and financial performance of projects.
Desired Qualifications
  • A solid 8–10 years of experience in a building-services engineering and design office is preferred.
  • Experience leading projects involving existing built assets is preferred.
  • Strong summarization, analytical rigor, and precision are appreciated.
  • Teamwork abilities are appreciated.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and listening ability are appreciated.
  • Ease in oral communication, mediation, and presenting findings is appreciated.
  • English proficiency is a plus.
