Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in data analysis, statistics or software algorithms (internship and project experience is applicable)
  • Experience with both electronics and mechanical design and analysis including knowledge of RF principles
  • Programming experience in Python, C and SQL with an emphasis on data analysis and automation
  • Demonstrated capability to think creatively and solve complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, enthusiasm for the team's spirit of innovation and mission of improving reliability in cutting-edge technology
  • Experience in a fast-paced, iterative design environment within the consumer electronics, mobile handset, medical devices, aerospace, marine or automotive industries
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite as needed
  • If located in Hawthorne, CA, ability to travel up to 50% of time to Austin, TX for site build up and up to 10% on an ongoing basis
  • If located in Austin, TX, ability to travel for business trips as needed (up to 70%) to Hawthorne, CA for initial training (3-4 months) and up to 10% on an ongoing basis
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement field monitoring systems and strategies to quickly detect fleet trends and failures as they arise
  • Perform hands-on testing of returned hardware to identify new hardware failures
  • Perform hands-on debugging to drive to root cause and corrective action of failed phased-array, Wi-Fi, and power supply PCBAs
  • Drive hardware, software and operational changes through root cause and analysis findings
  • Work closely with hardware, software and test engineering to maximize reliability across all disciplines
  • Define the long-term vision for scaling up field monitoring processes as we expand globally
