About the Opportunity

Pragmatike is partnering with a YC-backed AI technology start-up building ambitious products at the intersection of software, intelligence, and user experience.

We're looking for a Frontend Engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys taking ownership of highly interactive product experiences from concept through delivery. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong engineering fundamentals with product intuition and a genuine passion for crafting exceptional user experiences.

You'll work closely with engineers, founders, and product stakeholders to build responsive, high-performance interfaces that make sophisticated technology feel intuitive and effortless.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
Develop highly interactive user experiences with a strong focus on performance and responsiveness.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to define and ship new features.
Take ownership of frontend architecture and contribute to technical decision-making.
Build reusable components and scalable frontend systems.
Optimize application performance, state management, and data-fetching strategies.
Contribute across the stack when needed, helping deliver end-to-end features.
Improve development workflows, tooling, and engineering best practices.
Create thoughtful user experiences, including loading states, error handling, and accessibility considerations.

What We're Looking For

4+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.
Strong expertise with React and TypeScript.
Experience building complex web applications at scale.
Deep understanding of state management and modern frontend architecture.
Strong product sense and ability to make informed UX decisions.
Experience working closely with backend systems and APIs.
Ability to operate independently and thrive in ambiguous environments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality user experiences.
Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Nice to Have

Experience with real-time or collaborative applications.
Exposure to AI-powered products or developer tools.
Familiarity with modern frontend ecosystems, including advanced caching and synchronization strategies.
Experience in startup or high-growth environments.
Design experience or strong visual product instincts.
Experience helping establish engineering standards in early-stage teams.
