The Team
At-Bay underwriting interns will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the best colleagues in the business. We’re experts in the world of cyber underwriting and excited to share our experiences to help mentor future underwriters. In this role you’ll learn more about cross-functional disciplines of underwriting, claims management, product development, insurance operations, and business strategy. This program will provide interns with an insight and introduction to the underwriting process and business strategies. Successful and high-performing individuals will have the opportunity to join At-Bay full-time upon their graduation.
Responsibilities:
- Build expertise in cyber, tech, and professional liability, working alongside underwriters to service new and existing business portfolio, focusing on small to medium sized accounts
- Complete project-based assignments
- Attend internal team & external broker/client meetings and events
- Work with Underwriters to gain experience building and maintaining relationships with wholesale brokers throughout the region.
- Participate in round table discussions for risk assessment
- Conduct territorial risk assessment to determine profitability and underwriting opportunities
- Business process analysis to determine underwriting gaps
Qualifications:
- Students must be a rising Senior or grad student with interest in cyber liability, technology E&O, media E&O, miscellaneous E&O, or other specialty lines of commercial insurance.

Our hourly pay rate for this role is $23/ hour. Our compensation is determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to market data, location, experiences and skills. In general, if the position sparks your interest we encourage you to apply - our team prioritizes talent.
