Requirements
Previous experience in customer service, reception, or warehouse operations is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, including the ability to draft clear correspondence, explain details professionally, and follow standard operating procedures.
Computer literacy and experience with email, internet navigation, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Teams are required.
Typing speed of at least 25 words per minute is required.
Experience with Zendesk is highly preferred.
Competence in basic business mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and basic percentages, is required.
The role requires attention to detail, multitasking ability, and a cooperative work ethic.
The role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, with occasional climbing or balancing on ladders.
Frequent use of hands and arms to handle, package, or sort inventory is required.
Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds.
The role requires close and distance vision, the ability to focus, and the ability to distinguish colors for accurate physical inventory verification.
Must be comfortable working in a mixed office and warehouse setting with moderate noise.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist incoming office guests while presenting a professional and welcoming company image.
Maintain a clean, organized reception area and assist with filing, labeling, and decorating the front desk area for holidays or company events.
Take, fulfill, and distribute orders for walk-in customers and online pickup.
Maintain communication with remote customer service staff and provide on-site support at the Charlotte facility.
Locate, verify, and adjust physical inventory within the distribution center.
Measure, weigh, and verify physical product details such as colors and parts descriptions.
Update online product descriptions based on physical observations.
Resolve inventory discrepancies and repackage items for sale.
Contact shipping carriers to request service adjustments, tracking updates, or address changes.
Monitor, organize, and prioritize customer inquiries in Zendesk, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
Read, analyze, and resolve customer issues through email, live chat, and phone calls in compliance with company policies.
Input customer orders, investigate account issues, resolve product inquiries, and issue authorized refunds or credits.
Pull, double-check, pack, and distribute customer orders within the warehouse to support same-day shipping goals.
Receive, inspect, and process physical customer returns according to return merchandise authorization guidelines.
Contact customers directly to resolve return discrepancies.
Assist with warehouse quality control and packaging of in-house brand products.
Participate in cross-departmental training swaps to develop a broad understanding of operations.
